–Marcus Rashford had a very emotional reaction to England’s 2-0 win over Sweden in the World Cup quarterfinals today. This is England’s first semifinal berth since 1990 and just their third overall.
The young United and Three Lions forward was moved to tears and then, according to the Daily Mirror: “comforted by Gareth Southgate and members of his staff, but the youngster seemed to have trouble processing just what he’d experienced.”
-With England’s win over Sweden in the World Cup quarterfinals today, David Beckham won his friendly wager with Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
And thus Ibrahimovic must now come to an England game at Wembley Stadium sometime in the future sporting an England shirt, and eat some enjoy fish & chips.
If Ibrahimovic’s Swedish national team had triumphed, then Beckham would have had buy Ibrahimovic some furniture at Ikea for his new L.A. mansion. Here’s more on it via ESPN FC.
