The offseason is here for Manchester United, but it’s going to be a very busy summer, and certainly an exciting transfer window at Old Trafford, with a whole lot of topics to discuss.
Actually, it’s been a very eventful summer already, with United adding their first two players of the summer transfer window this week. Today is another active news day, so let’s take a spin through the headlines.
–Marcus Rashford continues to impress in multiple ways while on international duty with England. Yesterday he turned in a man of the match performance versus Costa Rica, and that included this thunder bolt of a goal which opened the scoring in Three Lions’ 2-0 win.

Rashford looks like an entirely different player with England right now than he was during this past season with United. It’s clear that his missed opportunities for playing time on the club level aren’t going to hinder him in his performances for country.
In case you missed the viral video from a couple days ago, where Rashford shows off his amazing skill set during England training, go to this link.
And apparently Rashford’s leaving his national teammates in awe of what he can do occurs regularly. This according to Fabian Delph, as profiled in the Manchester Evening News.
“You could see how calm he was after the goal – it was another day in the office for him,” he told ITV Sport post-match.
“He does that daily. For him, it wasn’t a surprise. Obviously for someone like me and the lads looking behind him it was a great finish. He’s a phenomenal talent. I can see him in the next couple of years being one of the best players in the world.”
-Midfielder Ander Herrera could be on his way back to Athletic Bilbao, with the La Liga side reportedly willing to make him their highest paid player. They wanted to re-sign Herrera this summer, with his contract set to expire, before United triggered his one year extension.
The Daily Mail writes that “Bilbao are however still interested and will offer him a lucrative deal to re-join the club this summer, according to Spanish publication AS.”
Herrera was the team’s player of the year in 2016-17, but this past season he often found himself not being selected, as he lost his regular first team slot.
-Want to know more about United’s newest signing, Portugese back Diogo Dalot? Well, he’s winning the social media game, and he’s picking up the Manchester slang right away.
Via Give Me Sport: “The Portuguese showed his respect for club legend Rio Ferdinand on Twitter, and has now posted another tweet which has gone down well with United fans.”
