Time for your daily David de Gea and Sergio Ramos updates. It’s a a never ending soap opera like Arturo Vidal was last summer. Will De Gea stay at Manchester United, or move to Real Madrid? Same question regarding Ramos (just reverse the teams). The two players potential transfer moves, if and when they happen, are somewhat inter-twined now.
This storyline has been discussed for weeks, going on months now. With today possibly setting the first wheels in motion. Los Blancos #1 Iker Casillas, has now finalized his move to Porto. That means the chain reaction/domino theory of moves might begin.

Casillas spent 25 years with Real Madrid. 25! He’s a club legend. And so the domino theory begins.
From there, we’ll see if United are able to acquire the services of Sergio Ramos as part of the deal. It would certainly make some sense, and be of mutual interest to those parties involved. Then there’s the issue of who replaces De Gea in goal. Rumors and gossip pages keep throwing out Hugo Lloris of Tottenham Hotspur and Asmir Begovic of Stoke City as potential names, but who knows.
De Gea is coming with United on their preseason tour in the United States of America. Louis van Gaal confirmed this on Friday. Their current #1 is coming with them tomorrow when they leave for the USA. How long he’ll be with the club in the U.S. remains a mystery. With Iker Casillas, the first domino has fallen.
