Memphis Depay was the man of the match for Manchester United today with 2 goals 13′, 43′ and an assist. He really should have had a third to complete the hat trick, but he blew the open shot. Wayne Rooney set him up perfectly in a situation where Depay saw lots of open space up ahead.
This is why Depay was brought in from PSV Eindhoven for £25 million on May 7th to score in bunches. He was the leading scorer this past season for the Dutch champions.

“I want to kiss him tonight. I’m very happy for him,” United Manager Louis van Gaal said of Depay. See this is exactly why Van Gaal needs to always play Depay out wide on the left; not in the center like he did versus Tottenham Hotspur.
