I guess David Moyes really got a boost from the home win over Aston Villa. Or perhaps he’s buoyed by seeing the Old Trafford faithful support him, instead of the airplane that carried a message protesting his performance and calling for his ouster.

Whatever the reason, David Moyes made some bold statements about his future. He’s quite confident in his future at Manchester United.

On the eve of the Champions League quarter-final versus Bayern Munich, the best team in not just Germany, but all of Europe, Moyes said this:

“I am really looking forward to coming up against (Pep Guardiola),” the United manager said.

“It is the first time I have done but I have no doubt I will be doing it many times in the future.”

So all that hot seat talk, all the people calling for Moyes to be sacked, he’s apparently not believing any of it. He seems to be settled in for the long haul. David Moyes believes he’ll get to experience more time on his six year contract. Pretty bold move, and United are heavy heavy underdogs in this game.
