There are short-term concerning the health and fitness of David de Gea The injuries just keep piling up for Manchester United. It’s getting quite alarming. Daley Blind could be gone for the season. We don’t know quite yet about Radamel Falcao either way. (Here’s the latest though)
Oh, and here’s a graphical representation of the all-injured Manchester United starting XI
Turns out the dislocated finger injury De Gea suffered might not end up being that big of a deal.
Sources close to the Spanish national team told Sportsmail on Tuesday evening that De Gea has ‘an 80 per cent’ chance of making the starting line-up when United return to Barclays Premier League action this weekend. So De Gea is set to hand manager Louis van Gaal an almighty boost by declaring himself fit for Saturday evening’s visit to Arsenal; and save Van Gaal a selection headache.
So maybe Anders Lindegaard won’t have to make a surprise start then.
