Manchester United midfielder Daley Blind, 24, is making good progress in his comeback from a knee injury, he’s now back in full training. Louis van Gaal said yesterday that will not feature in the Boxing Day match versus Newcastle, nor the Tottenham Hotspur visit on the 28th.
Blind suffered a knee injury playing for Holland against Latvia during the last international break and was initially ruled out for six weeks. The official Man united Twitter account mistakenly tweeted that Daley Blind would be out for six months causing a firestorm on social media. They quickly corrected the mistake, but still it was largely understood that Blind would not be back in 2014.
However, today Daley Blind wrote on his Instagram page, reading: “The football boots are back! Started training outside again, great feeling!”
So his comeback will have to wait until 2015. However, we should see Blind again in very early ’15.
