Javier Hernandez is looking for more playing time this season, whether that will be at Manchester United or at a different club. First and foremost on his mind, reportedly, is making the starting XI.
The Mexican international – known colloquially as Chicharito – spent the 2014-15 season on loan at Real Madrid but made just 11 starts across all competitions for Los Blancos. He’s been the subject of much speculation in the transfer market, being heavy linked to Tottenham Hotspur, and then West Brom.
Today, there might be a new entrant into the derby.
According to the Daily Mail, Torino have entered the race for the Manchester United striker. So as Torino are now supposedly in for Javier Hernandez, WBA might be out given that they just bought Salomon Rondon, (for a club record £12 million). The only way West Brom would still be in on Chicharito is if they sell Saido Berahino to Tottenham Hotspur; which is narrative prevalent in the gossip pages today.
The future of Chicharito might not be resolved until the transfer window closes shut on September 2nd. Don’t be surprised if that happens. This topic is of primary concern; according to a NBC Universo poll of United supporters.
