Ashley Young is one of three Manchester United players to crack the NBC Sports Premier League individual player power rankings for this week. The list is 20 deep, and Young is joined by teammates Anthony Martial and Paul Pogba. The very versatile Young doesn’t often make lists such as these, but he grabbed the final spot here.
Pogba, a regular to individual player power rankings, is #12 while Martial is #14. Manchester City lead the way with four representatives, while Liverpool, Leicester City and Arsenal each have a pair in the group.
The list is based on how is in the best form right now, not who has had the best season overall to date. Below you can see the top five, for the whole list go to this link. The list denotes movement from the previous set of individual player power rankings.
1. Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) – Up 1
2. Kevin De Bruyne (Man City) – Down 1
3. Raheem Sterling (Man City) – New entry
4. Mesut Ozil (Arsenal) – Up 1
5. Eden Hazard (Chelsea) – Down 1
United travel to Arsenal for the weekend’s headliner Premier League fixture, a battle between the second and fourth places teams in the league. An Ashley Young deflection forced Lewis Dunk to commit an own goal for Brighton & Hove Albion, and that was the only scoring in United’s win last weekend.
