Here we go- the curtain is raised on the 2018-19 Premier League season in just a few hours! Manchester United hosts Leicester City in the very first fixture of the regular season and match up of the 2012-13 and 2015-16 league champions. This match has some added intrigue in that Leicester central defender Harry Maguire was a transfer target of United’s this summer.
Obviously, it didn’t happen (go here for the United transfer window analysis, recap and report card), but the English international will get the chance to see what he’s missing out on first hand, in the very first game.

Both teams will be somewhat limited in selection, as both sides have players who went on deep runs with their national teams in the World Cup, and aren’t match fit yet, having just returned from holiday to their clubs only recently.
