Tomorrow’s blockbuster clash between Chelsea and Manchester City could see the loser (obviously, this hinges on the result not being a draw) double-digit points out of first place. It would be a shocking place to see the two time defending champions, managed by Pep Guardiola.
“I know from all over the world that the Premier League is done,” said Guardiola. “It’s happened so we’ll try again next season. Now we have two options – give up or not give up. We are not going to win, maybe, but we are not going to give up. I think the way we played at Anfield and lately we showed we’re not going to give up.”
This weekend will mark the 164th meeting between the two big six clubs, with Chelsea having notched 67 wins against 56 victories for City. The two sides have played to a stalemate on 30 occasions.
Let’s take a look at who Guardiola may select for his team that faces the Blues tomorrow at the City of Manchester Stadium.
