Salah, Mane, Keita, Alisson, Milner, Sturridge and Firmino Heroes in Liverpool Romp

This is what you call a complete team effort by Liverpool. The team that won the summer transfer window romped in their season opener, throttling West Ham United 4-0 at home on Sunday. There is certainly no shortage of heroes right now as Liverpool is a top trending term, nationally, on Twitter right now.

The names of several key players, as well as Jurgen Klopp himself, are also top trending terms on the social media platform right now. Let’s take a look at some of the news and notes from the match, and spotlight some of the individual contributions, starting with Man of the Match James Milner.

Pretty dominant showing right there from Milner who was a workhouse who brought pace. The Liverpool scoring came from Mohamed Salah, Daniel Sturridge and a brace by Sadio Mane. Roberto Firmino added an assist.

Naby Keita, who moved over from RB Leipzig this summer was fantastic in his Reds debut. He put in a world class effort, covering a whole lot of ground.

He was fantastic, covering a whole lot of ground, and receiving high marks wherever individual grades are being handed out these days. Is he the new player to complete a new Fab Four for Liverpool?

Elsewhere, in this 500th win for the club, the new £67 million goalkeeper Alisson registered a clean sheet. Even the oft-injured, much-maligned Daniel Sturridge got in on the fun. He scored just 24 seconds after entering the pitch, and did so on his first touch.

To summate, we saw an all around dominant performance from the Merseyside club, and it was the kind of showing that validates the really high hopes that supporters have for their club.
