According to multiple outlets in several countries, Liverpool forward Sadio Mane could miss the UEFA Champions League group stage match at Paris Saint-Germain tomorrow night due to illness.
The Senegalese forward, who received a contract extension from the club just last week, is a doubt at this point, but the Evening Standard reports that: “Mane will be given every chance to prove he has recovered sufficiently to be involved.” He did travel with the squad to Paris though, which is a good sign.

Another good sign is that he took part in training at Melwood this morning. It was a very light training session, but still the winger was included. During Liverpool’s run to the UEFA Champions League final match last season, Sadio Mane combined with Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino to become the highest scoring trio in UCL history.
This season he has scored seven goals in 17 appearances across all competitions. Thus, it’s fair to say that the Reds really need him in this match against one of Europe’s biggest clubs. PSG, like Liverpool, will be fighting for knockout round qualification, so expect both sides to put out the strongest sides they can.
