Liverpool Manager Jurgen Klopp met the media a few hours ago to preview this weekend’s biggest Premier League clash of all, when his side will travel to Arsenal. We have video of the entire media session for you here below via YouTube.
There were a whole host of topics covered in the Klopp news conference, including: an injury/fitness update, the team’s recent success against the Gunners, the quality they possess, the high scoring nature of recent matches in the series, and much more:
Since he arrived at Liverpool, Jurgen Klopp is yet to lose to Arsenal, with his side scoring 17 goals combine in the five meetings. They have scored at least three in every meeting. Klopp expects the high scoring trend to continue,
“It doesn’t look like that will change! They score a lot of goals and are really good offensively,” the German said. “We have to make sure they don’t score, which will be a big challenge because they have all the different tools to do so. They are creative, they have rhythm, demanders in midfield, they win balls back high up the pitch, they have the speed to punish mistakes, that’s the situation.”
“Against teams like this, it’s nice to prepare. Difficult, but nice. You need the full package, you need to be really ready and you need to cause them problems with the ball, without the ball. They will probably do something similar, and that makes it so interesting.”
