No new injuries came out of the Manchester United match for Liverpool, which is always a good sign.
Nathaniel Clyne was a surprise addition to the injury reporter before the United match, with sore ribs. He is still battling the injury and is a possibility to play over the weekend, but he is unavailable for Wednesday’s FA Cup replay against Plymouth Argyle, but he was unlikely to be selected anyway.
Also unavailable will be Lucas Leiva, who has a knee injury and has been out of training with swelling. It isn’t expected to be a long-term injury for the long-time Red, but he won’t be available against Plymouth.
Marko Grujic still is on his way back from a tendon issue put doesn’t appear to be ready for selection.
Liverpool are 1/3 favorites to win the match according, to SkyBet. They offer 17/4 odds of a draw and 17/2 odds of a Plymouth upset win.
Although they were unable to score in the first go round, Liverpool clearly had the more chances despite throwing out their youngest line-up ever. Liverpool should get one early in this one and add another late to finish it off in a 2-0 win on the road.
