The Premier League has become the most popular sports league in the world. The league consists of 20 teams, and each club will play each other twice in a season. This will make up 38 games total for each club. This league is one of the hardest to predict, as you have many teams that play completely different styles. The versatility makes this one of the most exciting leagues in all of sports. These are the most popular terms you will find when you are Premier League Betting.
Futures Bets:
The first futures bet that you will find is picking an outright winner. You are essentially just picking who you think will get the most points throughout the season.
A club will earn 2 points for winning the match, and each team will get a point if there is a draw. You can also bet on the Golden Boot award winner, which is received by the player who scores the most goals throughout the season.
Moneyline:
You are betting on who will win the match. This bet will be settled at the end of regulation. Keep in mind if there is a draw, this bet will not win. These games could go to extra time or penalties. Your moneyline bet will need to win in regulation.
Draw No Bet:
This is just the moneyline with the draw option removed. If the bet ends in a draw, then your money will be refunded to you as it will be considered a push.
Double Chance:
This is a way for you to combine two moneyline bets into one bet. This is considered a safer bet than just taking the moneyline if you think there is potential for an upset.
Goal Line/Spread:
This is very similar to betting the puck line in hockey. You will see +/-0.5, 1, 1.5 or even up to 3 on some of the goal lines.
If you bet Manchester City to win on the Goal Line -1.5, your bet would win if they won by 2 or more goals. The same would apply if you had a goal line of -1, they would need to win by 2 or more goals.
Total Goals:
Like hockey, this is betting on how many goals will be scored. If you bet the total goals to be over 3.5, then 4 or more goals would win the bet. If only 3 goals were scored, you would lose the bet.
Total Team Goals:
This is pretty self explanatory. You are betting on how many goals a team will score. If you think Manchester City will score over 1.5 goals, then they would need to score at least 2 goals.
Halftime/Full Time:
You are betting on the result at the end of halftime and full-time. If you took Man City +145 they would need to be winning at halftime and the end of full-time. However, if you picked Tie/Man City +500 then you would need a draw at halftime and Man City winning at the end of full-time to win your bet.
