You can call Belgium and Chelsea star Eden Hazard the Nostradamus of this World Cup. Back on June 12, two days before the first ball was kicked in Russia, the 27-year-old posted his predicted tournament outcomes on his verified Instagram account.
Of course, he picked his own side to win it all, naturally, and given how the Belgians are the highest ranked side remaining, he may be proven correct next weekend. We’ll see about that later, but take a look at his bracket, he has the final four on the left side entirely correct.

It’s also looking like he’ll end up getting three of the final four, as England have a 2-0 lead on Sweden in injury time of their quarterfinal clash right now. Eden Hazard picked an England-Belgium final, which would be extremely exciting to say the least.
They are the two sides in this tournament who boast rosters dominated by English Premier League stars, and the British top flight is regarded by many to be the best first tier league in the world.
Both Belgium and England have a recent history of badly underachieving, failing to live up to the high expectations that accompany possessing a roster as talented as what they’ve put on the pitch in recent World Cups.
Perhaps this is the year it all changes though; for one of them at least.
