Chelsea look to keep their long undefeated run going at home versus Everton tomorrow, in a match that will no doubt be a special one for Ross Barkley. The former Toffees midfielder has found himself again with the Blues, and he’s a big reason for the west London club’s surprisingly dominant form this season.
While he’ll be in action, let’s take a look at who won’t or likely won’t be, starting with the hosts.
Midfielder Cesc Fabregas is a doubt for the Sunday matinee, but he may have found himself with difficulties getting into the team anyway, given the logjam of talented midfielders. Speaking of midfield men trying to force their way into a very crowded position group, Ruben Loftus-Cheek may not feature due to a back issue that Maurizio Sarri branded as minor.
For Everton, forward Richarlison is a doubt after his having rolled his ankle early in last weekend’s win over Brighton & Hove Albion. However, he went the full game and could feature here, should he pass a late fitness test.
Jonjoe Kenny is another Toffees doubt for this match.
Meanwhile Kurt Zouma is a Chelsea loanee and thus ineligible to play here against his parent club here.
