Chelsea FC heads to Leicester City in what is one of the more riveting Premier League fixtures on the Championship Sunday slate. Yes, the visitors have already secured a top four berth, and yes, the chances of making the Europa League are over for the hosts, but it’s a match-up that, on paper at least, should be very even strength.

Let’s take a look at the fitness situation for this fixture, one that promises to be closely contested and most likely entertaining. Starting with Chelsea, midfield maestro N’Golo Kanté will not face his former team, because of a hamstring injury. However, he may be back in time for the UEFA Europa League Final.

Winger Callum Hudson-Odoi (Achilles) and central defender Antonio Rüdiger (knee) are out for the season. Meanwhile Danny Drinkwater will also not face his former team due to the fact that he’s just out of favor; period.

Additionally, defender Andreas Christensen is a doubt due to a knock, while Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Ethan Ampadu are doubtful due to back issues.

Leicester City come into this match with a nearly fully fit squad. Daniel Amartey is the only player who has doubtful status is regards to match fitness and no one is confirmed out for the Foxes.

Neither side has a player suspend for this one.
