Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa has been backed in from 9/4 to 6/5 to join Chelsea.
Could Chelsea be looking at a swap with Atletico Madrid? There’s a rumored deal involving Atletico‘s Diego Costa and on-loan goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois. With the addition of Diego Costa, what an eventful January transfer window this would be for Chelsea.
Nemanja Matic and Mohamed Salah have both to Stamford Bridge, while Juan Mata, Michael Essien and Kevin De Bruyne have left the London side.
Chelsea turned a £21 million on all their wheeling and dealing, and their squad still looks as strong or stronger. The Matic signing was huge, as was the Salah purchase. We don’t know yet whether a swap deal with Diego Costa will involve cash plus Courtois. But I’m guessing for someone with the talent and capability of Diego Costa, it will be a high price.
