Hector Bellerin, the young Arsenal right-back, had been linked to the Bundesliga after Bayer Leverkusen expressed an interest in him in 2014. More recently, he’s been linked to both Barcelona and Manchester City. That’s all in the past now, as his agent has struck a deal with the Gunners in order to keep him at the Emirates for the long term.
“I just signed my new deal with the club,” Bellerin confirmed.
“I am really, really, really happy. As you know I’ve been here for a long time and I feel like this is my home and this is the right thing for me to do. I am very happy to be a Gunner for many more years.”
Make no mistake about it, Bellerin’s decision to sign a new deal will be very helpful in the current contract negotiations of Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez as both of the influential attackers are currently discussing new deals with the Gunners.
Hector Bellerin did not reveal any of the numbers, facts and figures in his deal, but word is that he’s getting a pretty nice sized deal, especially so for a defender.
