Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is getting very close to making his first signing of the summer. There are multiple reports being published right now that French striker Loic Remy is coming to the north London side; after The Gunners sought a character reference on the QPR player.
Remy’s name has also been linked to Tottenham Hotspur. The Spurs have been in talks with the 27-year-old French international for some time and supposedly have a deal in place ahead of a release clause-triggering £9 million offer. The Sunday Express has much more on the likely impending Loic Remy move:
His Loftus Road contract allows him to leave for £10million and Remy would love to move to the Emirates.
Wenger has spoken to Marseille, one of Remy’s former clubs, about the 27-year-old who has had problems off the pitch…Remy’s idol is Thierry Henry and he would love to follow in the former Arsenal star’s shoes by joining the Gunners.
