We once again have Arsenal FC transfer news to discuss today. With just mere hours left before the summer transfer window closes, the Gunners finalized two big deals that will likely conclude their transfer business this summer. Manager Arsene Wenger announced that the Shkodran Mustafi (reportedly for £35 million) deal is now officially official.
A statement attributed to Arsene Wenger on the club’s official website reads: “He is at the right age. He has good experience. He is a very focused player who can play with the ball as well. We have taken a great player but have prepared well for the future.”

This comes off the heels of Arsenal closing another major deal (reportedly for £17 million), and later unveiling Deportivo La Coruna striker Lucas Perez Martinez.
Lucas Perez and Mustafi comprise Wenger’s most free-spending day that he’s ever had during his Arsenal tenure.
Mustafi told Sky Sports Germany:
“I have always loved Arsenal, I like how they play here, it is not typical English. The game here is more like in Spain and with the German national team, keeping the ball on the grass, so it was easy to convince me.”
