It was a high-scoring and thoroughly exciting North London Derby at the Emirates today in which hosts Arsenal came from behind to beat visiting Tottenham Hotspur 4-2. For now, north London is red as the Gunners scored three second half goals to best Spurs and move into the top four.
The result put Arsenal level on points with their opposition today, but Unai Emery’s side hold the goal differential tie-breaker. Arsenal got two goals from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, one of which came on a penalty. The rest of the Gunners scoring came via Alexandre Lacazette and Lucas Torreira.

Spurs got goals from Harry Kane and Eric Dier. The highest profile game of the weekend did indeed live up to the hype, and then some. And when you have a meaningful game, with high entertainment value to boot, it trends very well on social media.
So let’s take a look at some of the better Twitter reactions to the North London Derby today.
Aubameyang is certainly the man of the hour, and deservedly so.
There were shades of Thierry Henry in the way Aubameyang took that second goal. #nld

It’s not inevitable that Aaron Ramsey is out the door.
In the words of Kylie Minogue “it’s never too late, we’ve still got time.”
Massive praise for @aaronramsey today. Came on and played out of his skin for The Arsenal today.
Aaron, call your agent, sit down with the club and don’t leave the room till you sign a new contract so you can build on your Arsenal legacy.#Rambo

You know how passionate and zealous Arsenal fans are in nature. It’s just that the past few years have not given them all that much to get excited about. However, today is the kind of result that can make that fan base truly believe: “we’re back baby.”
