Arsenal Win Over Man United Sees Second Pitch Invader of the Day

Arsenal beat Manchester United at home tonight in a match that was absolutely critical in the race for the top four. The 2-0 result also marked the first loss in Premier League competition for United caretake manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, but that’s not what people are talking about right now.

The Arsenal-United game saw a fan invade the pitch midway through the second half. It was also, amazingly, the second pitch invader of the day. Hopefully, this doesn’t become a trend.

The Emirates pitch invader wanted to be a part of the Arsenal goal celebration, and during his run on the field of play, he seemingly took a jab at United defender Chris Smalling. The pitch invader will most likely face legal action of some sort, and it’s possible that punitive measures will be taken against Arsenal.

Of course, this was all light-hearted and fun compared to what happened earlier in the day in the Championship.

Earlier in the day, the Second City Derby, in which Aston Villa beat Birmingham 1-0,  a fan was arrested after he jumped on the pitch and physically attacked Villa team captain Jack Grealish. It was a very scary moment, and the incident has been publicly denounced by both clubs.

Grealish was okay, and he would later go on to score the game winning goal. What a day for Grealish
