As Arsenal head into the weekend fixture against Huddersfield Town, they are now unbeaten in 20 games across all competitions (15 wins, five draws. It is their longest run without a defeat since November of 2007, when they went 28 unbeaten.
Tomorrow sees Arsenal welcoming Huddersfield Town to the Emirates, and you really have to like the Gunners chances of extending the streak to 21, as the Terriers have collected just two points in their seven away Premier League matches against the “big six” clubs (zero wins, two draws, five losses) thus far. Huddersfield have scored only two goals in those seven games.
That said, let’s take a look at the injury and fitness situation for both sides, starting with the hosts.
Laurent Koscielny could be in contention to see some minutes off the bench here, possibly, as he continues convalescing from the serious Achilles tendon injury that he suffered last spring. Nacho Monreal (hamstring), Aaron Ramsey (ankle) and Mesut Özil (back) are all doubts for the Gunners.
Konstantinos Mavropanos (groin) and Rob Holding (knee) remain long term absentees, while Danny Welbeck (ankle) may have already played his final match for the north London side.
In switching over to the visitors, Abdelhamid Sabiri (collar bone) is out until the new year while full-back Chris Lowe could come back into the mix as he continues recovery from the shoulder injury he suffered. Also, the Terriers will be without Philip Billing and Steve Mounie who are suspended for this clash.
