Michigan Wolverines Night Game Parachuters! (Videos)

Saturday night’s attendance in the Big House: 114,804, a new record for college football. Population of Ann Arbor, Michigan: 113,934. The first night game in the 133 year history of UM football, and it drew the biggest crowd ever.

And what a show they saw. Wolverines 35, Notre Dame Fighting Irish 31.

In a finish that was so fantastic, you would doubt its believability if you saw it in a movie. But if you want the game recap go here

This post is for the bread and circuses surrounding the game

PARACHUTING INTO THE HALFTIME SHOW!

Yes, believe it. Complete with “helmet cam” or “paratrooper cam” as you can see on the Michigan Stadium jumobtron. I then switch the Flipshare over to the field as the brave soul returns to terra firma:

As Saturday night turned into Sunday morning in the Eastern time zone, “Oh, What A Night,” by Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons blared over the Michigan Stadium P.A. Much of the NCAA record crowd of 114,804 stayed in the stands for more than 30 minutes after the game was over.

They were part amped, but also pleasantly shocked for the improbable 4th quarter comeback, and the utterly insane final 1:12.

Oh, what a night, may be a song about a one night stand. But it perfectly described the atmosphere in Ann Arbor. (Watch below- cheerleaders, dance team girls, bandos all joyous on the field):

Finally, the UM opening video. Even if you’re not a Wolverines fan (and I am certainly not) this is pretty cool:
