  1. Yeah Illinois definitely looks like a NIT team right now. The huge recruiting gaps from recent years are now rearing their ugly head. there’s nothing in the sophomore and senior classes. it’s all the juniors and freshmen

  2. I think that you should have Wichita State in your bracket, they beat Texas
Tech which you have as an 8 seed. Wichita State is clearly underrated, but
come on,beat an undefeated team, you should be in the Tournament.

  3. Whoops,mispelled my name, haha!!

  4. Wichita State should be in your bracket, when your in a medium-challenged conference, but beat a FCS,undefeated team like Texas Tech you should be in the tournament.

  5. Brian- thanks for your comment, the problem with Wichita State is that only one team from the MVC is likely to get into the Dance… and I think Northern Iowa will be that team… It pretty much comes down to whoever wins the conference tourney because I doubt the MVC earns an at-large bid… at least not at this point of the season…

  6. They are 11-1 and they beat Texas Tech. I would give them a 5 or 6 seed.

  7. a 5 or 6 seed? you have to be kidding… Texas Tech is not Kansas first of all… and other than TTU, the Shockers’ big wins are against Iowa (the worst team in the Big Ten) and Cleveland State, an above average Horizon League team…

  8. Barely lost to PITT,a team only lost a couple games. Like to Texas and others.

  9. And yes I was kidding,I think they should atleast be in the tournament, though. Maybe a 10 to 12 seed.

  10. Or possibly a 14.

  11. Or 8 or 9.

  12. In 2008,Drake got a at-large and a 5 seed,I know,they got upset by 12 seeded W.Kentucky,but they only had like 9 losses.

  13. Drake was 28-4 that season… AND MVC tournament champions…

Wichita State lost to Illinois State last night though by 15… again, whoever wins the MVC is in the tourney and that’s their only bid unless a Northern Iowa or Missouri State or Wichita State finishes with a Drake like record and loses in the MVC tourney…

  14. Hey,remember,11-2 is a good record when you play Iowa,Cleveland State
,PITT,Texas Tech, and Illinois State. All have good records.

  15. And besides,if WSU impressed ESPN in the PITT and Iowa games and think they’ll get a top 2 seed in the MVC tournament.

  16. Which they did.

  17. ….get impressed by WSU vs Iowa and PITT.

  18. I mean WSU impressed ESPN.

  19. Shockers win 61-38 over Drake. Bad teams don’t win by 23,dude. They’re
    12-2,dude. Tournament bid for them.

I love how Wichita St. Athletic Director Eric Sexton is posting comments here on our site…under the pseudonym of Brian. It makes me feel really good to know that someone so rich and powerful takes the time to read the site I started

  21. I’m just a Jayhawk and Shocker fan in Wichita,KS.

  22. My favorite team is KU and my 2nd favorite team is WSU. Since he already put KU on,why not have WSU if they’re 12-2.

  23. # 1 Kansas wins 84-52 over # 19 Temple!!!!

  24. Wichita State wins 81-69 over Badley!!!!

  25. paulmbanks says

I’m glad you have a team that isn’t trendy in WSU in addition to having a popular front-runner team with Kansas. I have a lot of respect for people who are very passionate fans of teams like Wichita St. because they are anything but bandwagon.

  26. paulmbanks says

Have you seen the bracket project site? I’m assuming you might have already, but it lists all the bracketologies out there

  27. Yeah,I live in Wichita,KS,KU playing in OKC,that would be nice to see my favorite team close to home. GT/Memphis winner plays KU in 2nd RD. Florida St. plays BYU. Ohio St. plays Murray St.. Winner of those two also
    play in OKC.

  28. That would be nice.
