Very few times in life do we truly have a contest that is good versus evil. Monday night, Wisconsin versus Duke, will indeed be one of those times. No matter who’s side you’re on, and regardless of who wins, Duke Center is likely off to the NBA after the game.
The Blue Devils have their successor in place with Chase Jeter. As the Chicagoan from Whitney Young assumes his eventual place as the #1 overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, Jeter is up next.
Jeter, a Bishop Gorman High School product, is one of the top centers in a 2015 class that’s LOADED with them. Ben Simmons, Jaylen Brown, Caleb Swanigan, Diamond Stone, Ivan Rabb, the ’15 class has plenty. Jeter needs to add weight to his skinny 6’10”, 215-pound frame, and he’s hitting the weight room to work on it. Jeter has displayed a lot of ability to play with back to the basket and display true big man skills.
On the other end, he’s a phenomenal shot blocker. Some of compared his game to Duke legend Grant Hill.
Chase Jeter, in an interview exclusive to The Sports Bank is greatly enjoying Duke’s deep run through March madness.
“It’s awesome, it’s very motivational knowing that I’m going to an organization that makes great runs in the tournament and has made the tournament over several years, it’s an honor,” Jeter said.
“It’s a challenge, and I’m always up for new challenges,” Chase Jeter continued.
