Tottenham Hotspur Team News vs Watford FC: Son, Eriksen, Lloris

For a team that finished in the top four in England and runner-up in Europe last season, things have derailed quickly for Tottenham Hotspur. Last time out, a shocking upset at Brighton & Hove Albion, it seriously looked like many of the players had just given up on manager Mauricio Pochettino.

To make matters worse, goalkeeper Hugo Lloris went down early with a dislocated elbow, and now the Spurs captain is out of commission until the New Year. So now it’s Paulo Gazzaniga in between the sticks until 2020.

Tottenham Star Christian Eriksen Reportedly Targeted by Bayern Munich

Tottenham Hotspur winger/midfielder Christian Eriksen wants out of north London, badly, and given how things are going with the club, who can blame him. He reportedly snubbed a chance to move to Manchester United this summer, and given the current status quo at Old Trafford, it seems like he made the right call.

Eriksen’s first choice in destination is Real Madrid, and it’s possible that he could get the opportunity for the switch in January. However, it remains to be seen how well he would actually fit in at the Bernabeu. Well, a new potential suitor has entered the mix- Bayern Munich.

Christian Eriksen Could Leave Tottenham, Join Real Madrid in January

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen didn’t get the escape that he wanted from north London this past summer, as Real Madrid were unable/not fully vested enough to acquire him.

Madrid El Presidente Florentino Perez really wants Eriksen to come over, but manager Zinedine Zidane does not. Obviously, you know who will pull rank there, and get his way, so it’s looking like the Dane could move to the Spanish capital once the January transfer window opens up.

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium Looking to Relocate NFL Team in London

This past weekend saw Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London host the English Premier League and the American National Football League on the same weekend. The $1.25 billion stadium, which opened last spring, after several delays, was worth the wait. It’s world-class, and their next goal is to host the Premiership and the NFL on the same day.

If they can make that short term objective work, the over-arching long term objective is to get a NFL team relocated to London; as has been part of the vision since the beginning of the project. and it would make a great for home for some NFL team, but who?

Manchester United Transfer Talk: Solskjaer, Mourinho, Naglesmann, Pochettino

At the second international break, Manchester United are truly in dire straits. Sitting in twelfth place, just two points ahead of the relegation zone, you have to wonder about the job security of manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Yes, he deserves to be given adequate time, but the results speak for themselves, and these awful results are nowhere near the standard for Manchester United. They have not won a road game, of any sort since the UCL triumph at Paris Saint-Germain in March.

hugo lloris

It’s a really rough patch right now for Tottenham Hotspur, and it could get much worse before it gets better. Today we receive confirmation that Spurs will be without team captain and starting goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, who suffered a serious arm injury in the early stages of the north London side’s 3-0 home loss to Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday.

Mauricio Pochettino Would Not Be Enough to Solve Manchester United Woes

mauricio pochettino

Times are really tough at both Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur. How tough? Well, articles that openly question whether or not the former team can escape relegation, and whether the latter team has completely quit on manager Maurcio Pochettino can seriously be written published.

These are not click-bait narratives, but legitimate concerns as we sit here on the second international break. On the heels of a loss to the league’s penultimate side yesterday, United currently sit 12th, just two points from the drop zone. No, United are not going to find themselves relegated at the end of the year, but they’re not going to finish in the top four either.

Opinions Vary on Cause of Mauricio Pochettino, Tottenham Hotspur Woes

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino says he has not quit, and won’t quit, but it certainly looks like his players have. Fresh off setting a dubious record in midweek (goals allowed by an English side in the UCL), Tottenham didn’t show up at Brighton & Hove Albion, getting thrashed 3-0 by a side that hadn’t beaten them since 1983 or beaten anybody since opening day.

The Seagulls, a side that had scored just once in their previous five league fixtures, put three goals up on Spurs. The result left Pochettino’s side without a road league win since January. Heading into the international break, the heat on Poch will now increase.

Tottenham Hotspur Starting XI Prediction at Brighton & Hove Albion

For numerous transfer windows Tottenham Hotspur Chairman did nothing, despite the warnings of manager Mauricio Pochettino. Now Levy’s inactivity, and ignorance of Pochettino’s advice are coming home to roost as Spurs are in a dreadful place right now.

It didn’t take long for the side that went to the Champions League title game last year, and consistently finished in the top three in the Premier League, to fall off in form. Dele Alli, once a promising young superstar in the making, has seen his individual form fall off a cliff. Christian Eriksen, arguably the team’s most creative playmaker, wanted out this summer and didn’t get it.

Tottenham at Brighton Team News: Aurier, Sessegnon, Trossard, Propper

mauricio pochettino

With zero wins away from home in the Premier League since January and only nine victories in their last 28 overall, across all competitions, these are rough times for Mauricio Pochettino and Tottenham Hotspur. In recent weeks we’ve seen Spurs both crash out of the EFL Cup in their very first match of the competition, and make the wrong kind of UCL history.

“It’s going to be a tough season, I told you that months ago,” Pochettino said yesterday, after Tottenham surrendered the most goals ever by an English side in a Euro match.

Tottenham Hotspur Team News, Starting XI Prediction vs Bayern Munich (UCL)

bayern munich

It’s a UEFA Champions League Group stage clash in London tomorrow night as Bayern Munich visit Tottenham Hotspur, last season’s runners- up in the competition.  It’s a clash between two high flying, big time goal scorers in Harry Kane and Robert Lewandowski, and the outcome could be determined by which striker receives better service from his teammates with which to make plays.

The two teams have met four times previously, with an aggregate scoreline and form guide that looks like this: Spurs (WLLD) 4-6 Bayern (LWWD). The visitors head to north London with three points in Group B thus far, while the hosts have just one.
