Time will tell whether these are the new Tottenham Hotspur kit for next season or not, but it’s certainly eliciting strong feelings online. These Nike shirts leaked on social media, with a lot of supporters and observers not in approval of it.

Now of course, this doesn’t account for “the silent majority” who saw these strips and didn’t react. It’s also worth noting that every new logo or new uniform always elicits some level of backlash from somebody. This one though, well, there have been some “colorful” responses to say the least.

Tottenham Hotspur, along with the rest of most global football, are off indefinitely, so let’s do some transfer talk instead. If there’s one thing that can survive a global pandemic, it’s transfer rumors.

With that in mind, let’s take a spin through the Tottenham related rumor mill, starting with wanting away defender Danny Rose, who is currently on loan at Newcastle United. Rose wants out and the Magpies want to bring him on for good, but there is a major stumbling block to everybody getting what they want.

Tottenham Hotspur News: Jose Mourinho, Jan Vertonghen, Mauricio Pochettino

Tottenham Hotspur continues training as usual, but it’s impossible to know anything else about their schedule, for anything else, beyond that right now. Europe is the world epicenter for COVID-19 and that’s brought all of world football down for the foreseeable future.

That’s said, there is still plenty of interesting Spurs related news and notes to go over. Let’s take a look at some of the THFC news items trending in cyberspace right now during these very strange days and extremely uncertain times.

Tottenham Hotspur Starting XI Prediction at RB Leipzig (UCL)

champions league

RB Leipzig are in uncharted territory right now as they have never played a UEFA Champions League knockout round tie. It appears they’re going to win it too, as they host Tottenham Hotspur tomorrow night having already gone up 1-0 during the road leg.

The odds are long for visiting Spurs, but attacking midfielder Dele Alli says there’s no reason to give up hope just yet: “So we are coming here and, we have been in situations probably worse than this when we have had to turn it around, and we have done that.”

Tottenham Hotspur Team News at RB Leipzig (UCL): Bergwjin, Ndombele

As Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli put it, this is “no time to get our violins out,” regarding his side’s current injury crisis. He’s right, no other club will have sympathy for you, because this is sports and it’s ultra-competitive. As injury-riddles as Spurs already are, they got yet another major fitness concern this past weekend.

Manager Jose Mourinho has confirmed that midfielder Steven Bergwjin, who suffered a fractured ankle, is unlikely to play again this season. He joins Harry Kane, Heung-Min Son, Moussa Sissoko and Ben Davies as injury absentees for tomorrow, where Spurs will travel to RB Leipzig, for the second leg of their UEFA Champions League round of 16 tie.

Jose Mourinho Slams Tanguy Ndombele; Nobody Wins

The under-performing Tanguy Ndombele arrived at Tottenham Hotspur with sky high expectations. It logically comes with the territory of being a club’s record signing; carrying a price tag of 54 million pounds. While he’s underwhelmed at White Hart Lane, his manager’s overtly calling him out for doing so doesn’t help anybody involved.

The only people who benefit from his manager, Jose Mourinho, slamming him are the media, because it gives us something to talk about. Mourinho is of course well regarded for all the trophies that he’s won during his distinguished career, but he also has reputation for sounding off, and driving news cycles in doing so. Yesterday, during a very disappointing 1-1 draw with Burnley, Mourinho subbed Ndombele off at half time.

Tottenham Hotspur Starting XI Prediction at Burnley FC

As Tottenham Hotspur head to Burnley for their Premier League fixture tomorrow, their chances at a top four finish still exist, but given all their injuries, who knows how long they’ll stay in the race. Let’s take a look at the team news for both sides as Spurs visit the Clarets on Saturday.

Goalkeeper Hugo Lloris is a doubt, due to a groin injury while Harry Kane (hamstring), Moussa Sissoko (knee) and Son (arm) are all out until late April, at earliest. It also remains to be seen what may come of Eric Dier, if he will be reprimanded for leaving the pitch to angrily confront a hostile fan in the crowd.

Tottenham Hotspur were bounced from the FA Cup tonight, in a fifth round clash that saw them lose on penalty kicks to Norwich City, but it was a match that will be remembered much more for what happened off the pitch in the stands. Spurs midfielder Eric Dier, angered by something a supporter of his own team said about/to his little brother, left the field of play to confront the match attendee.

Photos and videos of the incident heavily circulated online, and after the match manager Jose Mourinho explained what had happened. Mourinho said he understood why Eric Dier did what he did, but he couldn’t condone his actions.

Tottenham Hotspur Starting XI Prediction vs Norwich City (FA Cup 5th Round)

Jose Mourinho, love him or hate him, is a trophy machine, and you have to give him credit for that. A big reason for that is his intense competitiveness, which prohibits him from coasting in cup competitions. He’s fielded strong teams throughout the FA Cup this far for Tottenham, so expect him to do the same on Wednesday night when Spurs host Norwich City in the fifth round of the competition.

In making our starting XI prediction, we wondered where to slot Ben Davies? He might end up in the first team ahead of Winks and Tanganaga. Let’s look at what else Mourinho might do with his very injury riddled side.

When are Tottenham Hotspur going to end their trophy drought? This year’s FA Cup competition could be as favorable an opportunity as any, and their next opponent, Norwich City, provides a very high probability of advancing on to the next round. The Canaries are the only team in the Premier League, as of now, who we can be fairly certain will get relegaed at the end of the season.

Tottenham vs Wolves Team News: Foyth, Sessegnon, Jonny

Just eight points separate the Premier League’s fourth and ninth place teams, meaning there are a whole lot of teams with plenty to play for this late in the season. We could see the fifth place team in Champions League and the seventh place team in Europa League, depending on whether or not the UEFA sanctions against Manchester City hold up.

Two teams sandwiched in that 4-9 mix are Tottenham Hotspur and Wolverhampton Wanderers, who will meet at White Hart Lane tomorrow. Let’s take a look at the team news for both sides in this one, starting with Tottenham.

Tottenham Hotspur Starting XI Prediction vs Wolverhampton Wanderers

tottenham hotspur stadium

Despite having just on played on Thursday night in the Europa League competition, Wolverhampton Wanderers will be plenty fresh for their clash at Tottenham Hotspur tomorrow. That’s because Wolves had already essentially booked their passage through to the UEL round of 32, and thus Nuno Espirito Santo could do some squad rotation.

With Spurs so banged up right now, this fixture could be pretty dangerous for them. Let’s take a look at what kind of side Jose Mourinho will put out there in North London on Sunday.
