Liverpool FC Starting XI Prediction vs Arsenal FC


Liverpool currently sit atop the table in the Premier League, with their opponents on Saturday, Arsenal, right behind them in second place. It’s a match-up of the only two teams in the Premier League to win both of their games this young season.

In order to make it three wins from three matches, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp would be best served by not tweaking his lineup too much. The German should, and likely will, leave the same attack and back line in place from the win at Southampton last weekend.

It took some time, but Arsenal FC finally got moving this past summer transfer window when they made their first signing in the middle-to-late portion of it.

They addressed their biggest issue, the back line, in the 11th hour of the transfer window. Arsenal made a lot of acquisitions and spent some money, but they didn’t do most of it until after the supporter backlash against the direction of the club hit a fever pitch.

Arsenal 2, Burnley News and Notes: Ceballos, Aubameyang, Lacazette

The second Premier League weekend got started off with Arsenal defeating Burnley at home 2-1; and Gunners summer transfer window acquisition Dani Ceballos was the man of the match. The Spaniard, acquired via loan from Real Madrid, was a force defensively and controlled the tempo.

It was a sublime home debut for the midfielder. He was also instrumental in both of his side’s goals on the afternoon, scored by Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang. Second year manager Unai Emery was very impressed by what he saw.

Arsenal FC Starting XI Prediction, Team News vs Burnley FC

Mesut Ozil and Sead Kolasinac have both returned to Arsenal training after having been left out of Arsenal’s season opening win at Newcastle United due to security concerns. An attempted carjacking threatened the pair, and although the duo have returned from their short leave of absence, security threats remain.

According to NBC Sports, Ozil and Kolasinac are being targeted by London gangs. Arsenal manager Unai Emery answered questions regarding whether the two players will be available on Saturday at home versus Burnley.
