Manchester City Starting XI Prediction vs Southampton

Ralph Hasenhüttl will have had some sleepless nights this week. The Austrian head coach of Southampton faces the daunting challenge of welcoming the all-conquering Manchester City to St. Marys Stadium this weekend. Both sides find themselves amid some suitable form. Southampton has a proud 7 match undefeated run at St Mary’s.

That undefeated run faces its sternest test yet when they take on a Manchester City side who has won their last twelve games in a row. The last time City suffered defeat, it was Halloween. They have slaughtered all that has come before them since then.

Man City Team News vs Southampton: Mahrez, Delap, Ake, Zinchenko

Manchester City heads to the south coast to take on Southampton this weekend. After picking up what many are calling a decisive victory over Chelsea last weekend, City seems like Premier League champions-elect at this point. Pep Guardiola’s men have gone on an incredible twelve-match winning streak that has propelled them to the top of the table by some eleven points.

This twelve-match winning streak the Citizens find themselves on is even more impressive when you take on the aggregate score line of those matches. 34-7. Since losing to Crystal Palace in October, they have picked up 36 points, thirteen more than any other team in the division. [Read more…]

F1 2022: What to Expect This Upcoming Season

We might only be a month or so removed from the controversial ending of the F1 2021 season which saw Max Verstappen crowned the World Champion but with just a couple of months until the 2022 season starts, not seems like as good as a time as ever to take a look at what the next campaign could have in store.

Manchester United Starting XI Prediction vs West Ham

If West Ham United win at Old Trafford on Saturday, they will join a very exclusive club. The Irons have already beaten Man Utd at the Theatre of Dreams in the League Cup this season. Only three teams have ever won twice away at Old Trafford in the same season: (Aston Villa 1919/20, Spurs 89/90 & Chelsea 04/05).

That Villa side was quite the anomaly, as they finished in the very last safety spot in the league table that season. The Spurs side was pretty stellar, as they finished third in the First Division and reached the quarters of the League Cup.

Man United Team News vs West Ham: Ronaldo, Sancho, Cavani

In the words of Stanley Burrell, a very well known early ’90s MC, “here comes the hammer” to Old Trafford. (I think you can infer which rap star we’re talking about) It’s a phenomenal match-up for Manchester United who are unbeaten in their last 13 against West Ham United at Old Trafford.

This run dates back to a 1-0 loss, a league fixture, back in 2007. It’s easy to see why United have added motivation here, or whenever they’ve faced the Hammers while David Moyes has been in charge.

West Ham United Starting XI Prediction at Man United

We have a huge match occurring this match week in the English Premier League as top-four hopeful Manchester United takes on West Ham United. It’s not overstating it to say that the loser in this fixture can kiss goodbye to their chances of qualifying for the UEFA Champions League for next season.

David Moyes goes to his former club, hoping to prise three points away from Man United. It hasn’t been a happy hunting ground for the Scottish gaffer. He has only won once at Old Trafford since his ill-fated spell as coach of the Red Devils in 2013-14.

West Ham Team News vs Man United: Benrahma, Noble, Zouma, Soucek

West Ham heads to Old Trafford to face a rejuvenated Manchester United this weekend in a must-win match. If the Hammers have any hopes of breaking the big six glass ceiling and finishing in the top four, well, there are no two ways about it. Taking the three points here is non-negotiable.

In order to secure a victory here, the East London club must win at Old Trafford for a second time this season. After their victory in the League Cup earlier this season, West Ham must do something only three clubs have ever done against Manchester United, secure two victories against the Red Devils at the Theater Of Dreams in the same season.

Arsenal Starting XI Prediction vs Liverpool FC (EFL Cup Semis)

Tomorrow brings a rescheduled EFL Cup semifinal, leg 2/2, between Liverpool and Arsenal, and the main storyline transcends football. This match was originally scheduled to take place two weeks ago, and with Arsenal’s Premier League fixture versus Burnley this weekend potentially getting called off, the elephant in the room is of course the coronavirus pandemic.

The cancelations and rescheduling have created a massive mess, in which it really feels like no one actually knows what’s going on right now. Just ask the manager of Arsenal’s biggest rival.

Arsenal Team News vs Liverpool (EFL Cup): Arteta, Odegaard, Mari

As we head into the second leg of the EFL Cup semifinals, the tie between Liverpool and Arsenal, the major match storyline revolves around postponements and rescheduling. There has been a lot of criticism aimed at Arsenal, whether that’s fair or not, and Gunners boss Mikel Arteta used his press conference on Wednesday to address that.

After the North London Derby was cancelled, Tottenham boss Antonio Conte made his feelings known, with rather strong opinions, as he hit out at the Premier League.

Predicted Liverpool FC Starting XI at Arsenal (Carabao Cup Semifinals)

A spot in the Carabao Cup final is on the line Thursday when Liverpool travels to Arsenal for the second leg of their semifinal. The two teams had a sluggish 0-0 draw last week at Anfield, so the pressure is ramped up for Thursday.

Liverpool sent out a pretty strong line-up last week, and should do something similar on Thursday with a few changes.

Meyers Leonard Has the Right Ideas on Mental Health, Psychotherapy

Monday saw Meyers Leonard make it back to a University of Illinois basketball game for the first time since 2012, when he was playing for the Illini. Leonard and his wife Elle donated $500,000 to the program, with the donation going towards the new basketball practice facility.

Meyers was honored on the State Farm Center court, during the first media timeout, and while this was indeed a special moment, what happened with Leonard in the press room, about an hour earlier, was much bigger than basketball.

Antonio Conte Slams Premier League Rescheduling as a Mess

Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte slammed the Premier League’s rescheduling strategy after and amid a wave of matches postponed from covid-19 outbreaks. Tomorrow sees Tottenham Hotspur travel to Leicester City for a match that got called off on Dec. 16, just hours before kickoff.

Their North London Derby on Sunday was postponed because Arsenal, which had only one covid case at the time, was very short-handed due to a multitude of reasons (injuries, suspensions, players away at AFCON. According to Conte, there doesn’t seem to be any real consistency when it comes to the criteria the league has utilized for cancelation, or how it goes about rescheduling.
