Chelsea Sign Saul Niguez on Loan with Buy Option from Atletico Madrid

Better Call Saul. Or to put it more accurately, better call FIFA TMS and tell them the paperwork is coming. Chelsea FC left it late, very late, but they got it done, acquiring Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez, 26, in the 11th hour on a loan deal that includes an option to buy for $41 million.

Saul doesn’t exactly slot in to the starting XI right away, but he’s a high quality pick-up. With over 300 appearances at Atletico, he’s won 4 major trophies and made 19 appearances for Spain.

Chelsea FC 2021 Summer Transfer Window Report Card

Chelsea FC were the only big spenders in the 2020 summer transfer window, as the rest of the football world kept the purse strings very tight due to covid-19. They parlayed their 2020 transfer window “championship” into a Champions League title in 2021, and this summer they didn’t have a ton of needs to really address.

The Blues did still need a true number 9 as one of the players they acquired last summer, Timo Werner, flopped. They went all in after Erling Haaland, but Borussia Dortmund just wasn’t interested in selling. Bringing back Romelu Lukaku was one hell of a “consolation prize.”

Manchester United 2021 Summer Transfer Window Report Card

The 2021 summer transfer window was unlike any we’ve ever seen before and I doubt we’ll ever see another quite like it again. And Manchester United played one of the leading roles in all of it. The final summer transfer business ledger is reminiscent of their 2016 summer window; only much better.

If you were excited (as many were) back then, a half decade ago in bringing Paul Pogba back, and signing Eric Bailly, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan…then you have to be absolutely, positively over the moon about bringing back Cristiano Ronaldo and adding Jadon Sancho.

Liverpool FC 2021 Summer Transfer Window Report Card

It was a very quiet Transfer Deadline Day, as we expected, for Liverpool. Transfer talk around the club has been pretty much radio silent in recent weeks, and the only move they made was loaning out Rhys Williams to Swansea.

It was a fairly disappointing window for Reds fans, as the team did little to address some of the departures in the squad.

Chelsea FC Transfer Talk: Saul Niguez, Jules Kounde

saul niguez

It’s summer transfer window deadline day, so let’s all rejoice! It’s the day when clubs wait until the last four or five hours to do the business that they had three months to already get done. Procrastination baby!

Chelsea have only made one real signing this summer, but it was obviously a massive one in Romelu Lukaku. Will Stamford Bridge make another addition here as the 11th hour draws near?

Arsenal Transfer Talk: Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Eddie Nketiah

Happy summer transfer window deadline day Gooners! Arsenal have made a lot of moves this summer, but as of now, they haven’t looked to be right ones. As you obviously know, Arsenal sit dead last in the Premier League table this international break.

Are they going to make some roster improvements in the 11th hour? Let’s take a look at what could or could not happen before the window shuts.

Manchester United Officially Announce Cristiano Ronaldo Return

It’s a summer transfer window unlike any other in 2021. Happy deadline day Manchester United supporters. Don’t expect them to make any major moves on this final day because they just completed and finalized a deal to bring back one of their greatest players of all time.

Ronaldo, who was voted the club’s best overall individual player of the Premier League era in a recent supporter poll, moves back to the club where he first made his name for two seasons, with an option for a third.

Kylian Mbappe Talks Stall Out Between Real Madrid and PSG

No matter what happens on deadline day tomorrow, this will still go down as the most massive summer transfer window of all time. It saw both Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo switch teams, but it looks like we won’t be able to add Kylian Mbappe to the list.

That is unless we see a total 180 degree reversal in the final hours of the window. Reports claim that Real Madrid gave PSG a deadline to respond to their last offer, but the Ligue 1 giants simply did not.

5 Low-Impact Exercises and Activities for Your Workout

When we think about exercising, we usually picture lifting weights, taking a fitness class, or going for a run. But sometimes our bodies need a break from intense workouts, or perhaps we’ve experienced an injury that won’t allow us to push ourselves as hard as we usually do.

Low-impact exercises are still extremely beneficial for the body, particularly our joints, and can easily compose a great workout. You won’t even notice you’re exercising because you’ll be too busy having fun to notice.

United Forward Dan James Set to Join Leeds for Around £20m

Even before the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo, which we’ll see confirmed in the next day or so, the Manchester United forward group was loaded. Especially so on the wings, where there is excessive depth chart congestion.

Moves were going to have to be made between now and the 11th hour of deadline day. Dan James will soon become the first surplus player at this position to be sold off. According to leading transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, the young Englishman, acquired from Swansea a couple summers ago, will be sent to local rival Leeds United.

Illini Football: Projecting a Realistic 2021 Season Win Total

Only time will tell if Bret Bielema leading the Illinois Fighting Illini program will be remembered as as “era” or an “experiment.” Mike White and John Mackovic were the former, Lovie Smith and Tim Beckman were the latter.

However, things are off to a great start, as Bielema led his team to a 30-22 win over Nebraska, despite having to play with a back-up quarterback almost the entire time. It was a game where Bielema’s side entered as seven point underdogs, but they defied the odds and won decisively. And now it’s time to start thinking about what Illinois could possibly accomplish this season.

Man United News: Edinson Cavani, Amad Diallo, Mason Greenwood

Manchester United are off until Sept. 11 when they will host Newcastle United in Premier League play. Three days later, they’ll travel to Young Boys, for their first UEFA Champions League group stage game. That said, we still have plenty to talk about this international break, as the summer transfer window draws closer to its conclusion.

We’re set to see some club vs. country rows, even more so than usual, during this set of internationals as the global covid-19 pandemic complicates everything.
