Man City Midfielder David Silva Moves Closer to Lazio

David Silva is set to move to Serie A side Lazio, with an announcement expected once Manchester City’s Champions League campaign ends. That’s according to reports in Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport.

Having joined City in the summer of 2010, Silva became a key figure in the Citizens rise to the top over the past decade. The midfielder has made 39 appearances so far this season and scored six goals as well.

Chelsea Winger Willian Undergoes Arsenal FC Medical

Chelsea attacking midfielder Willian has completed his Arsenal FC medical with a deal expected to be announced later this week, according to reports in the Evening Standard.

The 32-year-old joined Chelsea from Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala in 2013 and has played over 300 games, scoring more than 60 goals for the Blues. This season alone he contributed 11 goals in 47 appearances.

Ahead of tomorrow night’s UEFA Europa League quarterfinal against FC Copenhagen, Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admitted that he has a major quandary in goal. You can call it many things- an “embarrassment of riches,” a “selection headache,” “position battle” or “goalkeeper controversey.”

OGS admitted that a difficult decision lays ahead, beyond just whom he puts in between the sticks tomorrow night in Cologne. He also hinted at the idea of one of his keepers leaving the club or going out on loan.

Willian Confirms Chelsea Departure, Arsenal Move Draws Closer

Brazilian forward Willian has confirmed his exit from Chelsea and said his formal goodbyes to the club and their supporters. Following the Blues’ 4-1 loss at Bayern Munich in the Champions League yesterday, the 32-year-old penned an open letter to fans.

His move to arch-rival Arsenal isn’t finalized and announced yet, but according to multiple outlets, it won’t be long until the transaction is made official. With his current contract completed, wherever he is goes next will be on a free transfer.

Manchester United Starting XI Prediction vs FC Copenhagen

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had a chance to rest his stars and first teamers in the midweek win over LASK Linz. Having won that round of 16 Europa League tie 7-1 on aggregate, the  level of difficulty steps up now as they’ll take on FC Copenhagen in the quarterfinals.

This is only the second time a United side has progressed this far in a European tournament since Sir Alex Ferguson retired. The other was Jose Mourinho’s “plastic treble” winning side, which claimed the EFL Cup, Community Shield and the club’s first ever UEL trophy.
