Manchester United Starting XI Prediction vs Southampton FC

sir alex old trafford man united

At first glance, Manchester United’s welcoming Southampton in on Saturday looks like a very one-sided match in favor of the hosts; at least on paper. However, looking at the recent series tells a very different story. United have won only one of their five Premier League home games against Southampton since Sir Alex Ferguson retired, and the reverse fixture was a very ugly 2-2 draw on the first Saturday of this past December.

Of course, things have changed a lot since that first meeting between these two sides this season. Under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, United have yet to lose in any of their dozen Premier League contests.

Arsenal FC Starting XI Prediction at Tottenham Hotspur FC

Unai Emery’s first north London derby, a very entertaining game to watch, ended in a glorious 4-2 triumph. The Arsenal boss hopes to see his team duplicate that effort on Saturday in the reverse fixture. The Gunners will come into Wembley Stadium brimming with confidence, having just routed AFC Bournemouth 5-1 last night.

They’ll take on a Tottenham Hotspur side that is coming off a result at the polar opposite end of the spectrum. Spurs lost badly to Chelsea, a side that has really had a lot of issues as of late, last night at Stamford Bridge. However, this is the beauty of this time of year- win, lose or draw, momentum is only as strong as the very next result.

Romelu Lukaku Helps Manchester United Achieve New Club Record

With a 3-1 win at Crystal Palace tonight, Manchester United has now accomplished something that never have before- eight straight wins away from home across all competitions. United got there thanks largely to a brace (33′, 52′) from striker Romelu Lukaku, who made the most of an opportunity to be the hero while the team was suffering from an injury crisis in both attack and midfield.

Heading into Watford’s visit to Liverpool tonight, the attention, at least among Liverpool attacking players, was on Mohamed Salah who had scored six times in three previous meetings with the Hornets.

However, it was Sadio Mane who grabbed the headlines in the Reds’ 5-0 thrashing of Watford tonight at Anfield as the forward bagged a brace, and he did it with a ton of style points. Mane opened the scoring in the 9′ via a sweet header, but it’s his second goal, scored in the 20′ that has people talking right now.
