Jose Mourinho Outlines Summer Transfer Strategy, Longterm Ambitions

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho was asked where he sees his team in 2020, and his answer was simple- competing for everything. The Portugese believes he’ll have United not just contending for the Premier League title, but also to be champions of Europe.

“Better than now,” Mourinho responded to BT Sport when the question of where does he see this team two from now was posed to him.

“Fighting for what we are fighting for now but with different ammunition. I see us being real contenders for everything, that’s the level we want to achieve.”

Mesut Ozil Signs Extension, Becomes Highest Paid Player in Arsenal History

So much for all the transfer rumor stories linking Mesut Ozil to Manchester United and Real Madrid. The German hero is staying put at Arsenal, putting pen to paper on a new deal that will keep him in north London until 2021. It’s also a contract that makes him the highest paid player in Gunners history.

The midfielder will be earning about £350,000 a week before tax, reports the BBC.

Lucas Moura Joins Tottenham for £25m from Paris Saint-Germain

Happy January transfer window deadline day! It’s been an action packed month with a lot of transfer business, and it all finished off with a flurry of last minute deals on Wednesday. Brazilian forward Lucas Moura moved from Paris Saint-Germain to Tottenham Hotspur, for a reported £25 million transfer fee.

Christian Eriksen Scores 2nd Earliest Goal in PL History, but it Shouldn’t have Stood


Just eleven seconds in, Christian Eriksen opened the scoring at Tottenham Hotspur hosted Manchester United. It’s the second earliest goal in a game in Premier League history, behind only another Tottenham player, club legend Ledley King. His scoring strike in 2000 occurred in just 9.9 seconds officially.

Arsenal Break Club Transfer Fee Record; Finalize £56m Aubameyang Deal


Happy January transfer window deadline day! The Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang move from Borussia Dortmund to Arsenal is now finalized and formally announced; thus completing a a transfer saga that saw a ton of drama and tension between the two clubs over the course of its development.

The Aubameyang deal, for £56 million, breaks the Arsenal club transfer fee record for the second time in as many transfer windows. Another striker, Alexandre Lacazette, came over for £46.5 million this past summer, so this shatters that record by about ten million, and obviously, we’ll see this record continue to get broken over and over and over again moving forward.

Michy Batshuayi Completes Loan Move to BVB, Arsenal Paid Fee


It’s been arguably the most interesting January transfer window of all time, and naturally, it comes to an exciting climax on deadline day! Wednesday brought the other two dominoes from the Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang deal between Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund.

Michy Batshuayi becomes Aubameyang’s replacement at BVB, as Chelsea now send him out on loan for the rest of the season. In their eagerness to get the deal done, Arsenal agreed to pay the loan fee. The transfer window chain reaction is now complete, as all three deals are now official.

Forward Olivier Giroud Completes Move from Arsenal to Chelsea


Happy January Transfer Window Deadline day! All the dominoes from the Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang deal between Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund are starting to fall into place now.

With Aubameyang being added to the Gunners attack, Olivier Giroud was made expendable and now he moves on to London rival Chelsea, for a £18 million transfer fee . To seal the Aubameyang deal, Michy Batshuayi becomes his replacement at BVB, with Chelsea sending him out on loan. Arsenal even agreed to pay the loan fee. Thus, you have a troika of transfer deals involving forwards that are all interrelated; completing the merry go round.

In recent years, we’ve seen NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell mercilessly booed every single time he comes to the podium on NFL Draft night. Every bit of that booing and more is deserved, as he’s truly engaged in some deplorable acts in recent years.

Like our current President, Goodell was born on third base and thought he hit a triple, a self-defining trait that no doubt feeds the narcissism, solipsism and egocentrism in each man. Goodell is a U.S. Senator’s son who has failed upwards in life, and taken a product that was almost transcendent in its quality during the 1990s and early 2000s, and degenerated it into nearly unwatchable rubbish today.

Arsene Wenger Slams His Team’s Dismal Performance at Swansea City

Look out Premier League, here comes Swansea City! Arsene Wenger saw his side stunned, in a 3-1 loss at the Liberty Stadium tonight that left the Arsenal boss irate with his team. In dead last place much of the season, the Swans have now achieved back to back wins over big six clubs (Liverpool was the other). The win took Swansea out of the relegation zone for the first time since early November.

Chelsea FC Announce Arrival of Emerson Palmieri from Roma

Chelsea FC announced another bit of January transfer business today, as they hailed the arrival of defender Emerson Palmieri from AS Roma. The Brazilian, who has since switched his international allegiance to Italy, is signed on for four and half a years, for a fee that Sky Sports is reporting to be £17.6 million, with another potential £7 million in add-ons.

Palmieri passed his medical at the Cobham training ground on Tuesday.
