Man United Have League Title Caliber Attacking Options

Manchester United have made an impressive start to the Premier League, hammering each of their first opponents 4-0, before beating Leicester City 2-0 in their third match. The Red Devils coasted to victory over West Ham United in their opener at Old Trafford before putting another strong performance in on the road to overcome Swansea City with ease. Against the Foxes, United won in a different way, scoring their goals late in the contest, but it was still a very convincing triumph.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain Turns Down £40m Chelsea Move


Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is definitely one of the main players to watch today, and tomorrow, as the summer transfer window winds down. It was thought that his future had been determined, with a reported agreement in place to send him across town to Chelsea.

The Ox has nixed the £40 million move, according to the BBC, with the 24-year-old Englishman preferring to either move to Liverpool or stay at Arsenal.

Arsenal Players Want Alexis Sanchez Out Before Transfer Window Closes

Arsenal football club look inevitably headed towards a period of significant change. Alexis Sanchez is part of the “contract expires at the end of this season” brigade, and if the Gunners don’t move him between now and the 11th hour Thursday, they risk losing him for nothing.

However, the club reportedly turned down a £50 million bid from Manchester City for the player. That doesn’t sit well in the Arsenal dressing room, as the Gunners have reportedly become fed up with the situation.

Liverpool FC Officially Announce Naby Keita Signing

RB Leipzig’s Naby Keita has been one of Liverpool FC’s main targets all summer long. According to multiple reports yesterday, a club record agreement was reached for Keita, with the caveat being that he’ll join up next summer, not this one. June of 2018 is when his release clause kicks in, and hence the reason for the one year delay with the midfielder.

On Tuesday, Liverpool Football Club officially confirmed that a deal for Keita has been struck.

Northwestern Football Game Preview, Prediction vs Nevada

Up until last season, against P.J. Fleck and Western Michigan, Northwestern football coach Pat Fitzgerald had won every single season opener of his career except one (California 2014). Considering that he’s been on the job since 2006, it’s impressively consistent. Former Chicago Bears Head Coach Dave Wannstedt articulated what the key to building and maintaining a program has been for Fitzgerald.

“He’s got the blueprint of what he wants to do from a program standpoint, they got an identity,” Wannstedt said during our exclusive with him at B1G Media Day.

Northern Illinois Football Game Preview vs Boston College Eagles

Northern Illinois football coach Rod Carey billed Friday night’s opener against the Boston College Eagles as the biggest home game for his program since August 28th, 2003. On that date, the Huskies beat #15 Maryland 20-13, and B.C. is the first power five conference team to come to DeKalb since then.

This upcoming ACC opponent is definitely nowhere near as strong as that Terrapins squad; which finished the season 10-3 and ranked #20.

Arsene Wenger Gives Message to Fans Wanting Him Sacked

Liverpool routed Arsenal 4-0 at Anfield yesterday, turning what was supposed to be the weekend’s highlight fixture into an absolute trouncing. That of course brought the #WengerOut crowd out again, and we saw that hash tag trending on Twitter Sunday for the umpteenth time. Here is a link to some of the more entertaining entries falling underneath that umbrella hash tag.

Wenger and his side had absolutely no answers for what Liverpool wanted to do, and at times the Gunners players looked extremely disinterested.

Chelsea FC Reach £35m Deal with Arsenal for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain


The Ox, long time rumored to be heading out of the Emirates, is now officially on the move. Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, a long time target for numerous teams, including Premier League rivals Southampton and Liverpool, is leaving the Gunners. He will stay in the English top flight however, and he won’t even have to relocate from his current city.

Chelsea FC have reportedly reached a £35 million deal with Arsenal to bring the British international over, with his medical to transpire at England training camp.
