Predicted Manchester United Starting XI vs Hull City

Manchester United are in the midst of fixture congestion, and Manager Jose Mourinho has made his voice heard on the topic. Spoiler alert, he isn’t happy about it. The Red Devils are facing Hull City for the second time since January 26th.

United, currently in sixth place, will now take on the 19th place Tigers Wednesday night in the mid-week fixture.

Could Alexander Isak Really be the Next Zlatan Ibrahimovic?

alexander isak

It’s football, baby.

Rising stars come and go and every now and then we hear about a new Messi or Ronaldo who are all the rage for several games, but are then later forgotten by everyone in a heartbeat. However, sometimes the hype is real and has some ground to stand on.

Jose Mourinho Latest Manager to Speak Out Against Fixture Congestion

jose mourinho

Those who don’t learn from history are doomed to repeat it. Liverpool entered January with an insanely jammed schedule, and now as the month draws to a close, they have one win in their last eight across all competitions. Maybe the return of Sadio Mane will save them? Of course, the Reds entered that period already weary from festive season fixture congestion.

Now Manchester United face some serious fixture congestion of their own. Of course, that’s partially due to the Red Devils being proverbial “victims of their own success.”

The NBA More Woke than Any Other Sports League Right Now

nba logo

In comparison to other sports leagues, the NBA just “gets it.” Not speaking of league leadership in general, but in terms of having more leading strong influential figures, the NBA is way more woke. College football and baseball just have too much of an old guard, stuffed shirt vibe.

The NFL has some progressive elements, but the game always has, and always will be, inter-twined with over-the-top jingoism and the military-industrial complex. There are some sharp, dissenting minds in the college basketball world, but unfortunately the NCAA cartel curtails their expression too often.

Liverpool FC Starting XI Prediction vs Chelsea FC

Struggling Liverpool gets back into Premier League action on Tuesday when they host Chelsea. The Reds had an awful week last week, being knocked out of both the EFL and FA Cups.

Liverpool have won just once in 2017 and now find themselves in a top-4 battle for the rest of the season.

After Loris Karius played in both Cup games during the week, Simon Mignolet should return in goal for the Reds against Chelsea. He last played in a 3-2 loss to Swansea, but he should be the keeper moving forward.

Liverpool FC Injury Report (vs Chelsea): Lallana, Ejaria, Clyne, Grujic

liverpool toxic thunder

Liverpool comes into Tuesday’s game against Chelsea having lost their last three games and four of their last six.

They welcome Chelsea to Anfield on Tuesday.

On the injury front, it appears as though Nathaniel Clyne will be unavailable with his rib injury he suffered earlier in the month. He has been training on the side right now, and the Reds are being cautious on when to bring him back.

Sadio Mane Returns to Liverpool FC, Perhaps He Can Stop Team’s Free Fall

When Sadio Mane scored the game winning goal in the Merseyside Derby on December 20th Liverpool were riding high.

It all seems like ancient history now, that period before Mane joined up with the Senegal National Team for the African Nations Cup.

Without Mane, LFC have been a shell of what they once were.

It was known that he would be gone until at least Jan. 23, when Senegal complete the group stages. They were expected to reach the knockout round, which would take his international duty for an extended period of time.

Bastian Schweinsteiger Makes Europa League Squad, Now an Option Says Mourinho

Update: Jose Mourinho says Bastian Schweinsteiger is now an option, and names the German to his Europa League squad:

“Yes, he’s staying and he’s going to the Europa League list. There are spaces from Memphis Depay and Morgan Schneiderlin [leaving] and we don’t have many players and many options in midfield.”

“Ninety minutes today was hard for him. From minute 65, 70 it was difficult. But it was important to have this impact on his body. He was a good professional when he was not playing and he is going to be the same, good professional. With so many competitions and minutes [for United], he’s an option.”

Sam Adams vs Sweetwater in Super Bowl LI Beer Twitter Beef

sam adams

It’s definitely not the industry standard regional delicacy bet on a championship sporting event. The civic pride food wager has long been a stale cliche, but Super Bowl LI has seen a brand new spin on it, via the team’s quintessential hometown brewers.

It all started with a Georgia gas station banning sales of Sam Adams, the brewers of Boston-based Samuel Adams, and then a Twitter smackdown.

Sam Adams and Atlanta-based Sweetwater Brewing got into a Twitter beef, take a look:

Indiana Basketball: Thomas Bryant NBA Draft Stock Update

Indiana Hoosiers Coach Tom Crean may be feeling his seat warming in Bloomington, (and by warming we mean scorching) but that hasn’t stopped him from landing some of the nation’s top prospects class after class. Five star forward Thomas Bryant chose the Hoosiers over Syracuse and Kentucky.

Bryant said he models his game after Kevin Garnett and LaMarcus Aldridge. He’s also a big Lebron James and Minnesota Timberwolves fan (due to Andrew Wiggins). The sophomore center from Rochester, New York was a preseason All-American, and he’s having a solid campaign, despite the Hoosiers’ miserable season.

Indiana Basketball: OG Anunoby NBA Draft Stock Report

Is he done in Bloomington?

Will he be back and recovered in time to impress NBA scouts and combine and other pre-Draft activities?

Phil Jones Says Winning FA Cup is Not Enough for Man United

At Manchester United you are expected to win and win big; you must also do it with style and panache. By winning, it is meant that you must win league titles and advance deep in Europe. Since Sir Alex Ferguson retired the team has just one trophy, two if you count the 2016 Community Shield.

David Moyes obviously didn’t win anything as he was a disaster hire that lasted not even a full season. Louis van Gaal went two full seasons, but didn’t win anything until the FA Cup last May. United were triumphant today, as they renewed their quest to defend their FA Cup title against Wigan Athletic.
