Arsenal Fan Shreds Kit in Anger, Tries to Sell it Anyway

Well, this Arsenal supporter seems to have worked through some of the five stages of grief pretty rapidly. You can obviously see anger and bargaining on full display below. The Gunners lost to a Manchester United side that was so short-handed, the roster team sheet heavily resembled an U-21 roster.

Arsenal was done in by Marcus Rashford of all people, and Arsene Wenger’s men looked like anything but a title contender.

Arsenal FC back to “Same Old Arsenal FC” Again

Yesterday’s outcome was very detrimental to Arsenal and their title hopes this season. It was one Arsenal had to win, against a weakened United side full of under-21 players.

18-year-old Marcus Rashford was the star of the show Sunday for Manchester United. He scored two goals while setting up Ander Herrera for United’s third. Four days ago, absolutely no one knew who this guy was after Anthony Martial pulled up in warm ups with a hamstring injury against FC Midtjylland.

Purdue Basketball: an Extremely Schizophrenic Team

purdue basketball

Purdue Basketball was nationally a top ten trending term on Twitter following a thrilling 83-79 home win over #9 Maryland. On “Blackout day” Mackey Arena was rocking for 40 minutes with an overflow crowd of 14,486 mostly dressed in all black.

They witnessed their home team playing like a Final 4 Four qualifier, a CBI entry and a NIT participant all within the same five to ten minute stretches. In the same half, you can see multiple Purdue teams several times. On the season, their body of work is befitting a #4 or #5 seed overall in the NCAA Tournament (as we’ve detailed here)

Funniest Memes Poking Fun at Louis van Gaal Dive

Who says Manchester United is boring under Louis van Gaal? Well, the dull, tedious style we’ve seen on the pitch this season has actually gotten a lot more interesting as of late, as the Red Devils are scoring much more now. Projected Tottenham Hotspur Starting XI vs Swansea City

After a one-week hiatus, the Premier League returns to action this weekend. With 12 domestic matches left, Tottenham Hotspur is locked in a four way title race with Manchester City, Arsenal and Leicester City. Are Spurs the favorite? You can make that case to some extent. As we did here.

Of course, you can make a case for the other three clubs as well. Nevertheless, this is one Spurs need to get on Sunday. A home date with Swansea is one where they cannot afford any result other than taking all three points.

The Red Devils have a ridiculous amount of injuries. The number of players out is just astonishing at this point.

We still don’t know how serious the setbacks are for two of United’s most important players, Anthony Martial and David de Gea.

Harry Kane Will Play Against Swansea Despite Broken Nose

Harry Kane broke his nose in Tottenham Hotspur’s Fifth Round FA Cup loss to Crystal Palace. In the long run, in the bigger picture, Tottenham’s elimination from the FA Cup is a good thing. However, the injury to Tottenham striker Harry Kane, 22, was of more cause for concern. Kane missed the Europa League clash with Fiorentina on Thursday, but he’ll could/should be back tomorrow

#19 Purdue Basketball vs #9 Maryland: Preview, Prediction

purdue basketball

#19 Purdue basketball heads into a Saturday matinee big enough that it feels like a football game. Think Saturday afternoon, 50ish degrees, small town Indiana, a clash of two top 20 teams- it’s almost like Notre Dame taking on USC…well, that’s a stretch, but you get the idea.

Yes, Purdue basketball is a zillion times more relevant than Purdue football, so the analogy loses some credence there, but it’s a definite “circle the date on the calendar” kind of affair vs Maryland in West Lafayette.

Jurgen Klopp got the draw he wanted.

Manchester United will meet Liverpool in the Europa League round of 16 and this could be the most compelling tie possible. The Red Devils will take on arch-rivals Liverpool in the next tie.
