Jets fire Rex Ryan in way that shows NO CLASS AT ALL

Rex Ryan and the New York Jets will part ways after Sunday’s game. (Ryan himself has known this for quite some time) Multiple outlets, who are very close to the organization, are reporting this. Jets GM John Idzik will be out of a job as well.

Come Monday, (apologies of the Jimmy Buffett reference) this news will be made official. The NFL’s “Black Monday” has claimed it’s first victims.

This is a totally bone-headed decision, but the way it was done, makes it even more ridiculous. This is very Jet like. Shows NO CLASS AT ALL!

So who replaces Marc Trestman next season?

Bears will fire Marc Trestman; Phil Emery’s future in doubt

Chicago Bears Coach Marc Trestman is done for; and GM Phil Emery is on the rocks.  According to the NFL Network, the coaching believes they will all be canned, and Emery could go either way. There will be either a staff meeting tonight, or tomorrow morning, and Trestman is to become a casualty.

We’ve all known this here in Chicago since December 16th (WSCR 670 The Score had it first. One of the midday co-hosts for the CBS Chicago radio station, Dan Bernstein had sources claiming Trestman was finished in Chicago the day after the Saints disaster on Monday Night Football), but tomorrow is the day that it will actually finally happen.

It’s all big picture features, breaking news stories and/or original commentary here, and those same rules apply to Illini football. So what did we learn about Tim Beckman and Illini football today?
