Olivia Munn doesn’t play defense for Green Bay’s opponent each week

Olivia Munn

Ever since Aaron Rodgers took over for Brett Favre as the Packers’ starting quarterback in 2008, Green Bay has been one of the most successful franchises in the NFL—if not the most successful. With six straight playoff appearances and counting, the Packers are tied with the New England Patriots for longest active streak of making the postseason.

Jets QB Geno Smith drops f-bomb on stadium heckler

Is it time for New York Jets Coach Rex Ryan to bench Geno Smith, and give Michael Vick an opportunity? The Jets have some major issues. Smith isn’t really progressing all that quickly, but this loss today was more than just Geno Smith ups and downs, or proverbial “growing pains.”

Vikings Teddy Bridgewater is indeed “Pro Ready Teddy”

Teddy Bridgewater did not run or throw at the NFL Scouting Combine and he truly disappointed at the Louisville Pro Day held this past St. Patrick’s Day. Throughout his NFL Draft process he was heavily scrutinized. The last time we heard this much talk about a glove, it belonged to Michael Jackson.

“No doubt, I feel that I’m the best quarterback in this draft,” Bridgewater said during combine weekend.

“I’m not going to just say that. I actually feel I can back up these words. I’m just confident in myself and my capability of doing all the things at this position and to go out there and prove that I’m the best guy.”

Today, he backed up his talk, by completing 19 of 30 passes for 317 yards, also running for a touchdown as the Vikings piled up more than 500 yards of offense in a 41-28 defeat of the Atlanta Falcons.

The 26-10 home loss to Utah made that sentence the conventional wisdom and yesterday’s embarrassing blowout at the hands of Minnesota at home has only strengthened this belief. Three sources in the media, including one who covers the team every day, told The Sports Bank last night that Brady Hoke could be fired within two weeks.

Lionel Messi-steve-mcmanaman

Barcelona forward and international superstar Lionel Messi was reportedly a summer transfer target for Chelsea this past window. Yes, indeed. Pat Fitzgerald SILENCES Penn State, hyperbolic NU alarmists

Pat Fitzgerald did more than ANNIHILATE the Penn State Nittany Lions today. He also DESTROYED two of the most brain dead narratives that surround his program right now. The first is the idea that Northwestern football is not winning because this team is not “hard nosed” or “TOUGH” enough. We’ll SHRED that idea to pieces in detail here as Fitzgerald is as much of a “player’s coach” and “guy’s guy” (Or “blokey-bloke,” for my readers in the U.K.) as he’s ever been.

But first first we need to put to rest the other theory surrounding NU football that is dumbing us down. The idea that Northwestern is going back to “the dark ages” of pre 1995.
