Tottenham Hotspur’s Nacer Chadli opened the scoring in the North London derby today. It was a very pretty goal on a nice pass set up by Erik Lamela, but what makes this play very notable is what Chadli does after scoring. It earned him a yellow card.
Hey, this is what derbies are all about- emotions run high on both sides.
Watch as Nacer Chadli does the “shhhhh” gesture with his hand, and then cups his ear to say “I can’t hear you now” to the Emirates Stadium crowd.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain later scored the equalizer for Arsenal to make sure The Gunners remained unbeaten in Premier League play. The 1-1 one draw must feel like a loss for Arsenal though as they owned a 69%-31% advantage in time of possession today. Nacer Chadli has scored four goals in five Premier League appearances this season for Spurs, after scoring just one in 24 last season. He’s been Spurs best goal scorer thus far.
