Southampton’s Victor Wanyama has seen his career take off and his transfer market stock rise in the past couple years. The Kenyan was signed by Mauricio Pochettino, who was managing Saints at the time, in the summer of 2013 from Celtic.
He enjoyed a fine debut campaign in the Premier League, leading to rumors in 2014 that Wanyama was ready to leave Southampton after just one year, and reunite with Pochettino, now with Tottenham Hotspur.
Fast forward two years and it’s looking like the Wanyama-Pochettino reunion is now official. He’s now completed his Tottenham medical and signed a five year deal believed to be worth around £11 million. Spurs have officially announced the arrival of the Kenyan midfielder.

Wanyama, who turns 25 next week, is the first player Mauricio Pochettino has successfully lured from his former club Southampton, after failing in previous attempts for Morgan Schneiderlin and Adam Lallana. Wanyama is the first signing of the summer for Tottenham.
