It’s funny that you bring flag football up because I made the suggestion that Favre should play flag football instead and lead them to victory. However, if you’re having the same retirement issues as Favre, maybe it’s not such a good suggestion after all. lol

General Comment:

The thought of having Favre play for the Bears is sickening to me. The last thing I want is a bunch of cheeseheads infecting Soldiers Field!

The drama increases as the Packers filed a complaint with the NFL claiming the Vikings are illegally talking to Brett Favre about becoming a free agent. Favre admits he discussed his situation with the Vikings O-Line Coach but only as a friend not from a contract perspective.

If the Vikings are found guilty they could lose a draft pick next season or face fines.

This is getting to be a mess. At this point Favre should just show up to camp if he wants to play and then win the job from Aaron Rogers.

Cheese- You are correct regarding the news on Brett. This may be at a stand-still for a while. I’m sure a number of teams including the Bears would be intersted in Favre but they know the Packers would NEVER trade him within their division. Additionally, the $30+ million remaining on his contract is likely to scare folks away.

Sarah Spain is a writer for the Sportsbank. As a female reporter, she has more insight on “all that is sports” in her little finger than most men have in their entire body. She’s also super smart– Soxman does not need to comment on her beauty..just look at her picture.

On Fox yesterday Brett said the Packers don’t want him anymore, while the Packers have said that no team has contacted them to ask about a trade. The drama continues. Thanks again for the great writing. I must admit, I love this site.
