(Update Kristen Saban testifies in court)
(Update: Alabama Supreme Court overturns previous ruling, Kristen Saban assault case may go to trial after all)
Kristen Saban, daughter of Crimson Tide Coach Nick Saban, and arch-nemesis of Phi Mu sorority sister Sarah Grimes, was the subject of a very controversial sign on ESPN College Gameday this morning. How did this one get past the ESPN Gameday Sign police?
Is this Nick Saban daughter sign over the line? (Last week, the Lizzy Seeberg sign was definitely way out of bounds, and I would add the “Potato Famine” sign, a couple of Everett Golson signs were in very poor taste too)
Back to Kristen Saban and the lawsuit, she allegedly beat her sorority sis Grimes. I don’t have time to get into it now, but here’s the gist.
So maybe the sign isn’t so out of bounds then? Of course, the fact that I have to ask whether it is over the line or not makes me think it is.
Or not. Kristen Saban is an adult, not a minor. As the daughter of the most successful Coach in college football, she’s sort of in the public eye, and therefore maybe subject to scrutiny.
I don’t need to say this because it’s obvious, but Kristen Saban is really quite attractive; which is maybe the main reason we’re even talking about this in the first place. Of course, every week, there’s going to be GameDay Signs that maybe go too far.
