Danica Patrick is hoping to build on a decent run at Las Vegas after two rough weeks to start the season. She was involved in accidents at Daytona and Phoenix, finishing 40th and 36th. During Speedweeks preceding the Daytona 500 she also wrecked. So in three weeks of the season, she’s totally three cars. Make it four cars in four weeks.
At Vegas, she rolled off 22nd in the race, fell to 30th in the early going and went a lap down (“One Lap Downica” LOL That never gets old), but she fought her way to a 21st-place result. Which was decent. Compared to her first couple weeks.
Friday afternoon Danica Patrick crashed three minutes into the opening practice on the tight, 0.533-mile track. Patrick lost control of her No. 10 Chevrolet at the exit of Turn 2 and veered sharply to the left, collecting the No. 30 Toyota of NASCAR rookie Parker Kligerman. Both drivers limped back to the garage area.
A special GoDaddy/Get Found logo will appear on Danica Patrick’s green Chevrolet at upcoming races at Bristol, Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, Martinsville and Texas Motor Speedway.
Danica Patrick currently ranks 33rd in the Sprint Cup standings
