Why do so many people think Aaron Rodgers is gay?

There are times when Aaron Rodgers looks like he might the best player in all of football. Not just the best QB, but the best NFL player alive.

And as usual, every time Aaron Rodgers is on national television, I look at this site’s traffic stats and I see two phrases “Aaron Rodgers Gay” and “Is Aaron Rodgers Gay?” driving more traffic to TSB. During the postseason these search numbers increased, peaking when the Green Bay Packers were in the Super Bowl; of course. Despite the women he’s been linked to, lots of people out there seem to think Rodgers is still a homosexual.

I’m telling you right now that we will not attempt to answer the question of Rodgers’ sexual orientation. I’m not even going to venture a guess about whether Aaron Rodgers is straight or gay. What I am going to do is present what we do know about his personal life, and ultimately why none of that has anything to do with why he’s an NFL MVP quarterback.

You can put the gay rumors to rest. Well maybe you can (remember Rock Hudson). Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is supposedly engaged to a self-described hard-drinkin’, Jack Daniels and fly-fishin’ lovin’ girl named Destiny Newton. The proof? The ring she was flashing on her engagement ring hand/finger on television Saturday night.

NFC North: Best Division in the NFL? Yeah Probably

Our good friends (and web traffic ranking twins) over at Real Clear Sports have a wonderful feature where they average all the major power rankings for the NFL, NBA, NHL and MLB each week. They accumulate and average the rankings from 8 major media power rankings and the findings show that the Upper Midwest is ruling football right now.

Yes, it’s just week one, and power rankings are extremely subjective in nature- but the NFC North had the most impressive showing in the rankings thus far. Remember the NFL has no BcS.

The only other division that came even close was the AFC East.

Packers Nip the Colts 24-21; Preseason Notes and Links

The Green Bay Packers played their starters for an entire half en route to a 24-21 win over the Indianapolis Colts to improve to 2-1 in the preseason. Even though Aaron Rodgers and company had a crisp half, it was third-stringer Graham Harrell who led the Pack to a last minute victory on Friday.

Big h/t to sports media website Terez Owens.com for their beach bikini pictures of Aaron Rodgers with his new beau Destiny Newton. How’s that for a stripper/porn star name. And she shares another trait with many of the women who work in that industry- a lower back tattoo, colloquially known as a tramp stamp.

And it’s not a tramp stamp like the one ESPN analyst Jenn Brown has; it’s much bigger.

Green Bay Packers Are 2011 Super Bowl Champions

The Lombardi Trophy is returning to Green Bay as the Packers defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 31-25 in Super Bowl XLV. It’s the Packers fourth Super Bowl victory and 13th overall championship.

Welcome Aaron Rodgers to the class of NFL’s elite quarterbacks because his 304 yards and three touchdowns couldn’t have been on a bigger stage or against a better defense. For his historic performance, Rodgers was named Super Bowl MVP.

As expected, the battle between the league’s two most historic and storied franchises was a thriller to the end. Fitting that the Packers came out on top after persevering through some costly injuries and mental miscues, much like they  did during the regular season.

Aaron Rodgers and Ryan Braun Sit Courtside At Bucks Game

The Milwaukee Bucks 91-81 defeat of the New Jersey Nets marked the return of point guard Brandon Jennings, but it was Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers and Milwaukee Brewers All-Star Ryan Braun who received a standing ovation.

Rodgers and Braun sat court-side to watch the Bucks win their third straight game behind 17 points and 18 rebounds from Andrew Bogut.

Excited about the Packers recent success, Jennings even threw in a “championship belt” celebration of his own from the Bucks bench on Saturday night.
