All 32 NFL teams show up for Alabama Crimson Tide Pro Day

crimson-tide
The Crimson Tide held their Pro Day today with 12 draft-eligible Crimson Tide players participating and all 32 NFL teams in attendance. Yes, ALL 32 NFL teams were at the University of Alabama, and they should be as they’re a ton of Alabama players in my NFL mock draft. So where was Katherine Webb? Oh, wait she’s already been drafted into the pros. And we’re already sick of Katherine Webb.

And A.J. McCarron is returning to school for his senior season.

Draft-eligible Crimson Tide athletes participating: D.J. Fluker (mocked at #20 to the Bears although that will change now with the Bushrod signing), Kelly Johnson, Nico Johnson, Barrett Jones (mocked at #24 to the Colts), Robert Lester, Jeremy Shelley, Damion Square, Carson Tinker, Chance Warmack mocked to Tennessee at #10 , Ranzell Watkins, Jesse Williams and Michael Williams.

Video: Katherine Webb sticks up for Musburger, ESPN apology was stupid

katherine-webb

The actual college football game was a total joke- the Alabama Crimson Tide totally crushed Notre Dame right from the start. The game was over at kickoff. Serves ESPN right for over-promoting the hell out of the game for the past month and change. So what captivated the viewers since the football was anything but interesting? Katherine Webb, Miss Alabama 2012 and girlfriend of Tide QB A.J. McCarron. And ironically an Auburn graduate.

Her, along with the hot mom of McCarron, Dee Dee Sonders got a TON of ESPN air time tonight, and with that they almost broke Twitter and the internet. And turned legendary sportscaster Brent Musburger into a national punchline. And wrongfully so. I posted the video after the game and pointed out the web making fun of Musburger, but I don’t think it was right. Musburger didn’t say anything offensive. And he certainly didn’t say anything any different from what us guys were thinking.

Webb thinks so too.

The Great Unknown: 2012 Indianapolis Colts preview

The Indianapolis Colts have endured quite the eventful — and often turbulent — offseason in 2012.

The firings of Vice Chairman Bill Polian, GM Chris Polian and coach Jim Caldwell. The hires of GM Ryan Grigson and coach Chuck Pagano.

The release of quarterback Peyton Manning, the greatest and most iconic Indianapolis Colt of all time, and the subsequent cuts of long-time fan favorites Joseph Addai, Gary Brackett, Melvin Bullitt and Dallas Clark.

The selection of Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck — the franchise’s cornerstone for the future — with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft.

And on the not-so-bright side, the fan backlash at owner Jim Irsay and the club, particularly for parting with Manning and for announcing just weeks ago the Colts would black out home games that weren’t 100-percent sold out despite a new league rule that allows a minimum 85-percent attendance to air games.

After all this uber-whirlwind of change and drama surrounding the Colts, it’s finally, thankfully, time to play some football.
