Bengals DB Dre Kirkpatrick has the WORST. Publicist. Ever!

dre-kirkpatrick

Cincinnati Bengals cornerback and former Alabama Crimson Tide star Dre Kirkpatrick really should consider getting a new publicist. Usually, picking on people this incompetent at their jobs is too much of a low hanging fruit, but lots of journalists received this horrifyingly bad pitch, and I don’t know if any of them called out its horribleness.

I’m certainly not one of those right-wing nuts who worships the idea of Social Darwinism, but I do believe America needs a healthy amount of it. If you suck that terribly at what you do, someone needs to tell you that you truly suck.

Alabama Crimson Tide at the White House Monday

crimson-tide-at-white-house

On Monday, April 15th, tax day actually, President Barack Obama will welcome the BCS National Champion Alabama Crimson Tide at the White House to honor their 15th national championship and their exceptional 2012-2013 season.  I’m sure Crimson Tide at the White House day might include a mention or two of the Tide’s utter destruction of Notre Dame in a title game which ended at the coin flip.

The POTUS will also continue his tradition of honoring championship sports teams, but I’m guessing this will be a hard media credential to obtain.

All 32 NFL teams show up for Alabama Crimson Tide Pro Day

crimson-tide
The Crimson Tide held their Pro Day today with 12 draft-eligible Crimson Tide players participating and all 32 NFL teams in attendance. Yes, ALL 32 NFL teams were at the University of Alabama, and they should be as they’re a ton of Alabama players in my NFL mock draft. So where was Katherine Webb? Oh, wait she’s already been drafted into the pros. And we’re already sick of Katherine Webb.

And A.J. McCarron is returning to school for his senior season.

Draft-eligible Crimson Tide athletes participating: D.J. Fluker (mocked at #20 to the Bears although that will change now with the Bushrod signing), Kelly Johnson, Nico Johnson, Barrett Jones (mocked at #24 to the Colts), Robert Lester, Jeremy Shelley, Damion Square, Carson Tinker, Chance Warmack mocked to Tennessee at #10 , Ranzell Watkins, Jesse Williams and Michael Williams.

Crimson Tide’s Milliner, Lacy and Fluker to enter the NFL Draft

alabama-football-uniform

Lots of Alabama Crimson Tide players raised their NFL Draft stock Monday night, especially on the offensive side of the ball. In their pummeling of Notre Dame, especially the way the OL and running game dominated a previously had been elite defense, some Alabama players made themselves a lot of money in the 42-14 shellacking.

Juniors Dee Milliner and Eddie Lacy announced their decision to enter the 2013 National Football League Draft on Friday morning. Alabama head coach Nick Saban announced that junior D.J. Fluker will also forego his senior season to enter the draft.

Video: Katherine Webb sticks up for Musburger, ESPN apology was stupid

katherine-webb

The actual college football game was a total joke- the Alabama Crimson Tide totally crushed Notre Dame right from the start. The game was over at kickoff. Serves ESPN right for over-promoting the hell out of the game for the past month and change. So what captivated the viewers since the football was anything but interesting? Katherine Webb, Miss Alabama 2012 and girlfriend of Tide QB A.J. McCarron. And ironically an Auburn graduate.

Her, along with the hot mom of McCarron, Dee Dee Sonders got a TON of ESPN air time tonight, and with that they almost broke Twitter and the internet. And turned legendary sportscaster Brent Musburger into a national punchline. And wrongfully so. I posted the video after the game and pointed out the web making fun of Musburger, but I don’t think it was right. Musburger didn’t say anything offensive. And he certainly didn’t say anything any different from what us guys were thinking.

Webb thinks so too.

Every year there’s a march of Alabama Crimson Tide players to the NFL. 2013 will be no different as four Bama players could go in the first round come late April. Three more could go in rounds 2-3. And (yes this is way too early to talk about it) Three more members of the Tide could be in the first round of the 2014 draft. With two more likely to go on the second day of the draft. The only Notre Dame and Alabama brother combination ever

alabama-notre-dame

During the Civil War, you often literally had brother vs. brother. According to the Alabama Crimson Tide fight song they are “Dixie’s football pride.” And Indiana (despite the fact that it often votes with the old Confederacy these days in elections) was a Union state. So this Notre Dame vs. Alabama national title game matchup does have a bit of a Civil War feel to it.

Here are two brothers who fit the mold: Thomas Rayam Bama 90′ and I-Hardy Rayam Notre Dame 80′ are the only brother combination that played for both Notre Dame and Alabama. Ironically, some local people don’t understand why some national news source have not given this article some attention. Hardy Rayam, graduated from Notre Dame 1980′ BBA and was on Notre Dame’s 1977 Football National Championship Team. Hardy Rayam is also a Two Times Liver Transplant Survivor, since 1997 (PSC-Walter Payton).
